.: character bio

1) Who were the character's parents? Did they raise the character? If not, why? If not them, who? Her parents were Jayne & Bel Rupho. Bel was a healer who could use the force, but was not trained to be a Jedi. She was raised by a Sorrusian clan, worked in a hospital in Yinn La Hi where she met Jayne. Jayne was a brilliant mechanic from Coruscant on contract with the government of Sorrus. When Fuf was 4, Bel was murdered by her sister in an attempt to take Fuf and train her to hunt Jedi. Jayne took Fuf into hiding, doing odd jobs to support them. Jayne took to smuggling weapons and supplies to during the clone wars and was killed in greed by his business partner.

2) Did the character have any childhood friends? Any siblings? Where are they now? Does the character stay in touch with them or have they become separated? If separated, why? Fuf was an only child, raised with her father who moved from job to job all over the galaxy. They often used false names to protect their identity and left suddenly as jobs became available. She did not keep in touch with any of the friendships she was able to make.

3) What was childhood like for the character? Calm and peaceful or turbulent and traumatic? Her childhood was very lonely. She saw the darker, more opportunistic side of life more often than she saw the good, though her father generally tried to stay on the good side of the law whenever at all possible. It definitely wasn't a life of comfort.

4) Does the character have any or did the character have any role models? Describe them. Fuf had the opportunity to serve under Locus Geen in the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR). He was a great leader and a decorated General. He fought on behalf of the Empire, but was disillusioned at the end of the clone wars and with the initiation of Order 66. He had worked closely with the Jedi and felt their loss personally. He quietly retired, with distinction, to the planet Salliche where he spent the rest of his days telling stories of great battles to any youngster with enough time to listen to him. Fuf followed as his personal guard/medic.

Fuf also greatly admired her mother. She doesn't have many memories of her but she remembers her being a strong nurturing woman who cared about everyone's well being, sometimes even before her own. Bel's work at the hospital was regarded as top notch and her loss was felt through the community.

5) What did the character do before he/she entered the story? Who trained the character to do what he/she does now? What is the character's relationship with his/her teacher? As a teen Fuf began doing odd jobs together with her father; some mechanic work, some healing as needed. She also learned to use computers from him. At the start of the war Fuf enlisted as a medic with the GAR. There she was trained to aid the fallen clones in battle. AS a soldier, she also learned weapons and combat skills. She had the opportunity to serve with Rom Mohc who had a keen eye for droid weaknesses. Fuf became very close to her Commander, Geen, and admired him greatly. She remained with him after the war instead of joining the reorganized Imperial Army.

6) What are the character's moral, ethical, and religious beliefs? What lengths will the character go to defend those beliefs? Who or what taught those beliefs to the character? Fuf does not belong to an organized religion, but does believe in a somewhat karmic fate. You get what you give. While her life has not always led an honest path, she attempts to remain an honest person. She joined the army to do good and feels betrayed by the leaders, none of whom changed the Republic for the better. She also feels some shame that she aided them. She feels the deaths of the Jedi's on a very personal level, both on the part of her family and the part of the GAR and will gladly fight a war all over again to bring them justice. She believes that life is precious and should be saved, but won't think twice about protecting herself and those she is sworn to protect. She just might take it upon herself to offer aid after she's injured you if she feels you have learned your lesson. Sometimes she has internal conflict regarding the contradictions.

7) Does the character have any unusual habits or physical traits? What are they? What do they stem from? How do others react to them? She talks to herself when she is problem solving. Sometimes she catches others off guard with how loud her self-contained conversations can be.

8) What is the general reaction to the character by other characters? Why, in the character's opinion, do they act that way? Fuf has a somewhat gruff bedside manner which can provoke those who have to deal with her. She is straight forward, honest and often blunt and tactless. Usually people avoid her, but sometimes she pushes the right buttons and starts an out and out fight. She spent years in hiding with nobody close to her but her father, who was not an entirely open loving guy, and soldiering doesn't really help those traits. A part of it is because it's the only way she's learned to be, and another part of it is that it is safer to keep others from getting to personally close. It opens you up for lose when you have to move on, or when they die.

9) Can the character kill? When did he decide (or learn) that he could? Why would the character kill? Does he/she have any enemies at all? Would or could the character kill them? This character can kill. Though she is a healer by nature, she will not think twice of protecting herself. She is a soldier. She would gladly kill the people responsible for both of her parent's deaths. She has learned that Ona Nobis died, but she is unaware of the death of Jenna Zan Arbor, whose experiments killed her mother. Fuf was also unaware of the name of the man who was business partners with her father, but is sure she will find out and kill him as well.

10) What kind of relationships does the character currently have? Does he/she have any close friends? Bitter enemies? If so, who? What are they like? What is the history of the character and this person's relationship? This character is cold and closed off, normally not making lasting friendships. When she does make a bond with someone she is fiercely loyal. She would not hesitate to kill the man who murdered her father, but otherwise does not harbor any ill feeling towards anyone else she has met.

11) Does the character have any mental problems? Phobias? If so, what are they? What do they stem from? Fuf is extremely paranoid about Jedi and force powers. It meant the death of her mother, of some of the greatest war heroes and the death of the Republic. It's a power that she doesn't understand and its devastation immeasurable.

12) How does the character generally treat others? Does he/she trust easily? How does the character relate to people? Is he shy and withdrawn or outgoing and friendly? She does not trust easily and is somewhat withdrawn. She is unsure of how to handle herself in a purely social setting and only feels confident when she's working. She tends to treat people like machines. She expects them to act rationally and in a processed manner and has difficulty understanding people who act on "silly" emotions like love or lust even. Surprisingly though, she is a good medic and much more nurturing than one would expect.

13) What does the character look like? Does he/she have any scars or tattoos? If so how did he/she get them? Obviously this includes eye and hair color, but an unusual gait (walking style) or accent comes into play here as well. Fuf is 6 foot tall with white blonde hair, pale skin and green eyes. She is 30 years old (born 47 BBY). She has few scars here and there, but nothing too distinguishing. The worst scar she has is an old faded four inch mark along her right forearm that actually comes from running around in a workshop when she was 7. Her "looks" are unremarkable.

14) What is the character's normal daily routine? How does he/she feel when it's interrupted for whatever reason? Her normal daily routine is very structured. She gets up early, does her training whatever is needed to be done that day and goes to bed early. However, battle has taught her that flexibility is needed to endure whatever situation you find yourself in. It doesn't mean she likes it, though.

15) Was the character present during any key events in the history of the galaxy? If so, how did that event affect the character? She fought in many battles throughout the Clone Wars, but the first major battle she was involved in was The Coruscant Insurrection. At that point she saw just how much devastation war has, and how much power and acclaim it can bring to those who are involved with it. It was repulsive and addicting all at the same time.

As an aside, Fuf was on Tatooine with her father for the Boonta Eve Classic podrace. As a mechanic, he was there to make himself available to any racer who could use his expertise. She was in the crowd watching as Anakin won the race.

16) Does the character have a notorious or celebrated ancestor? What did he/she do? What do people assume about the character when his/her ancestry is known? Does the character actively try to live up to the reputation, try to dispel it or try to ignore it? Her aunt was a bounty hunter named Ona Nobis. Ona orchestrated the abduction of Qui-Gon Jin by a Jenna Zan Arbor, a force experimenting "mad" scientist. Ona Nobis had vowed to take revenge on all Jedi, including her own sister whom she handed over to Zan Arbor to experiment on, and had attempted to take Fuf to train as her apprentice.

Ona was eventually killed (by Obi Wan) but it was years before Fuf and her father found out. It isn't often that people get close enough to Fuf to find out about her heritage, but they are often weary of her once they do. They assume that she harbors the same ill feelings that her aunt did. In the current status of the world, some see this is a positive trait. She tries to ignore any queries she can, but she lives her life to dispel any likeness between the two that could possibly be perceived.

17) Where is the character's homeland? What is its history and what are its people like? Is the character patriotic or a social outcast? What is his/her opinion of home? Fuf was born in Yinn La Hi, on the Sorrus planet. The planet is a rocky, desert planet with a limited water supply. To distribute water the Sorrusians dug a massive maze of irrigation canals. Sorrusian's are near humans, the basic difference being that they have elastic skeletal systems that allow them to squeeze their bodies through small spaces. They are often afraid of foreigners and generally unfriendly to outsiders. Neither of her parents had been Sorrusian, though her mother was taken by a clan as an infant and meant to be raised as a slave, but was raised as one of their own. Due to her human heritage Fuf is an outcast on her home planet and due to her aunt, does not hold a high opinion of Sorrus.

18) What are the character's dreams? Ambitions? Goals? Right now Fuf's only ambition and goal in life is to get a job and get working again, in something a little more challenging than a body guard to a retired war hero.

19) How does he/she seek to obtain them? How does adventuring fit into this dream or does it at all? She's been hanging around all of the usual places; cantinas, shops, bases listening for information and news. She's not necessarily looking for adventure.

20) Does the character ever want to have a family someday? If so, with whom or what type of person? Fuf is not interested in marrying or settling down at this point. She has had little time in her life for love and is completely uninterested in bringing children into the Galactic Empire. She would rather fight for humanity than her family.
